China and Brazil have strengthened their ties with the signing of 15 cooperation agreements covering various areas such as trade, technology, and communications. These agreements, sealed during talks between Presidents Xi Jinping and Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, reinforce the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries and are part of China's Belt and Road Initiative.

During the discussions, President Xi emphasized the importance of China and Brazil as major emerging markets and strategic partners, expressing China's appreciation for the development of bilateral ties and stating their willingness to work together to create a future of more beneficial relations. President Lula, on his part, assured that these new agreements will allow progress in key areas such as renewable energy, the automotive industry, and information technology. Lula defended the relations with China and highlighted that the visit to Huawei's facilities demonstrates the lack of prejudice in the bilateral ties.
