Venezuela has received a number of donations of health and anti-Covid 19 supplies throughout this year. These have included Covid 19 vaccines manufactured by Sinopharm and distributed by the COVAX initiative, which brings together the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI), the Vaccine Alliance (Gavi), the World Health Organization (WHO), and the World Bank, among others.
The last donation Venezuela received was on October 3, directly from China, and it included 600,000 PCR tests, 720,000 coronavirus nucleic acid diagnostic tests (2019-ncov), and 9,800 PCR plate supplies, among others. The donation was made thanks to the collaboration between the Venezuelan Foreign Trade Corporation (Corpovex) and the Chinese company Meheco. The investment is estimated to be worth around 39,520,000 Venezuelan bolivares.
