Argentina, one of the world's largest beef producers and exporters, suffered a 7% drop in the volume of its beef exports in the first four months of this year, largely due to a slowdown in demand from the People's Republic of China (PRC), its main buyer.

According to data from the South American country's Chamber of Industry and Commerce of Meat and Meat Products (Ciccra), in the first four months of this year, Argentina exported 184,600 tons of beef, but China's "ZERO-COVID" measure affected the South American country's beef exports.
