In an operation against drug trafficking in Chile, the "Bang de Fujian" gang from Fujian, a coastal province located in southern China, was dismantled by Chilean authorities. The operation led by the Chilean Investigations Police (PDI) resulted in the capture of 21 Chinese citizens and the seizure of seven thousand marijuana plants, 11 safe houses for hiding weapons, 400 rounds of ammunition, four warehouses, and over 600,000 dollars in cash.

According to the investigations, the Chinese criminal organization employed Chinese citizens with experience in growing marijuana, whom they referred to as "farmers or harvesters." The gang members rented warehouses in the Metropolitan Region of Santiago, Chile, to clandestinely cultivate and process the drugs, stated Prefect Guillermo Gálvez, head of the Antinarcotics and Organized Crime Central North Prefecture. This operation, also known as "Operation Southern Dynasty," represented the third phase of an investigation that began in 2020, significantly weakening the criminal activities of this mafia group in Chile.
